The EasySafeBox LiXX Safety Container is a high-quality safety box designed for the protected storage, supervised charging, quarantine and temporary collection of lithium batteries and other energy storage devices. Its robust construction has been developed for professional and private handling of lithium batteries and can help contain the effects of thermal runaway or a battery fire.
Whether used for RC modelling, in private households, workshops, trade businesses, industrial companies, research facilities, logistics areas, service vehicles or municipal facilities, the EasySafeBox LiXX Safety Container provides a practical safety solution wherever lithium batteries are regularly stored, charged or temporarily kept.
The safety container is manufactured from 1.5 mm AlMg3 aluminium sheets. Its individual components are laser-cut, folded, riveted and subsequently powder-coated. Manufacturing, assembly, filling and quality control take place in Augsburg and Memmingen. The EasySafeBox is therefore manufactured entirely in Germany.
The double-walled construction contains a total of 27 litres of Extover® fire suppression granulate, consisting of 11 litres of Extover® Fine and 16 litres of Extover® Coarse. The coordinated combination of fine and coarse granulate improves coverage and thermal insulation around an affected area.
Extover® is a purely mineral, non-combustible special granulate made from expanded recycled glass. When a fire load is sufficiently covered, Extover® can reduce the oxygen supply, absorb thermal energy and form an insulating layer. Its porous surface can also absorb or bind escaping liquids, gases and vapours.
Extover® has been examined by independent testing institutes. The coarse grade has been tested for use as an extinguishing agent for Class D metal fires. These tests relate to the Extover® fire suppression granulate itself and do not constitute certification of the complete EasySafeBox.
A multi-stage filtration system integrated into the lid permits controlled pressure relief in the event of an incident. Escaping particles and components of the smoke gases are directed through the filter material and Extover® layers. The EasySafeBox must nevertheless only be used in well-ventilated areas and in accordance with its safety instructions, as lithium battery fires can produce hazardous and flammable gases.
The EasySafeBox is suitable for LiPo, lithium-ion and LiFePO4 batteries, including RC and drone batteries, e-bike and e-scooter batteries, power-tool and garden-tool batteries, camera batteries, power banks and numerous other mobile energy storage devices. The maximum suitable battery size depends on the internal dimensions and the required safety clearance.
The container can also be used for the temporary quarantine of damaged or suspicious batteries and as a collection box for used lithium batteries, disposable e-cigarettes and vapes. Critical batteries must not be used or charged again and should be transferred to a suitable specialist or disposal facility as quickly as possible.
Thanks to its robust industrial design, double-walled aluminium construction, 27-litre Extover® filling and integrated filtration system, the EasySafeBox provides a durable safety solution for the responsible handling of lithium batteries.

Safety information:
Lithium batteries must only be charged using a suitable charger and the correct charging programme while under supervision. During charging, the EasySafeBox must not be positioned in escape routes, immediately next to combustible materials or in unventilated rooms. The instructions supplied by the battery and charger manufacturers must always be observed.
Swollen, mechanically damaged, wet, overheated or otherwise suspicious batteries must not be used or charged again. They must be handled with particular care and disposed of professionally as soon as possible. In such cases, the EasySafeBox is intended solely for temporary, controlled quarantine storage.
The EasySafeBox is an additional safety measure. It does not replace a suitable fire detection system or any legally required storage, dangerous-goods, transport, occupational-safety or disposal regulations. The user must verify suitability for the intended application and the permitted battery quantity while observing all applicable regulations.
