The 20-litre bag of Extover® Coarse fire protection granulate is a practical solution for the safe storage and transport of lithium-polymer and lithium-ion batteries and for the controlled containment of battery fires.
Whether used in RC modelling, workshops, battery storage areas or during transport, this purely mineral special granulate made from expanded glass can completely surround burning or damaged batteries. This reduces the supply of oxygen and limits the transfer of heat.
At particularly high temperatures, Extover® begins to melt and may form a largely airtight protective layer over the burning material. At the same time, the porous granulate absorbs thermal energy and binds leaking liquids, gases and vapours to its large grain surface.
The coarse particle size of approximately 1 to 4 mm is particularly suitable for safety boxes, battery storage containers, dangerous-goods packaging and loose-fill applications. The compact 20-litre bag is easy to store, transport and dispense as required.

Application information:
Apply Extover® directly and carefully onto the burning material. The source of the fire must be completely covered with granulate. Depending on the object involved, a covering depth of approximately 10 to 30 cm is recommended. Always alert the fire brigade in the event of a battery or metal fire.
