The 40-litre bag of Extover® Coarse fire protection granulate provides a high-capacity safety solution for larger battery storage areas, workshops, charging stations and commercial or industrial applications.
This purely mineral special granulate made from expanded glass is suitable for the safe storage and transport of lithium-polymer and lithium-ion batteries and for the controlled containment of battery and metal fires.
Extover® surrounds the burning material, reducing the supply of oxygen and the transfer of heat. At particularly high temperatures, the granulate may melt and form a largely airtight protective layer. Its porous grain surface also absorbs thermal energy and can bind leaking liquids, gases and vapours.
With a coarse particle size of approximately 1 to 4 mm, Extover® Coarse is particularly suitable as loose filling material in safety boxes, dangerous-goods packaging, quarantine containers and larger battery storage systems. The 40-litre bag provides sufficient material for higher-volume applications and can be dispensed as required.

Application information:
Apply Extover® directly and carefully onto the burning material. The source of the fire must be completely covered with granulate. Depending on the object involved, a covering depth of approximately 10 to 30 cm is recommended. Always alert the fire brigade in the event of a battery or metal fire.
