The Edge is the perfect all-round model, with the flight characteristics of a balsa model and the repair characteristics of a super stable foam waffle.

The aim during development was to build something that flies just as well as the Veloxity developed by Codyy Wojcik, but looks different nevertheless. Jan Votava, Junior European F3A Champion and World Ranking Second was one of the first test pilots of the Edge XL. In the beginning he was very sceptical if you could get anything useful out of the Gröe, but now he's just thrilled. Jan flies the Edge 540 XL with a 1500mAH 4S LiPo, which of course gives the machine extreme power, see gibt´s for a cool video on Youtube.

To put it in Jan Votava´s words: The plane goes ballistic and there´s nothing I can´t do.

überdurchschnittliche Qualität
Ich habe mir die Edge XL von RC-Factoy gekauft, auch aufgrund des letzten Artikel in der dmfv Zeitschrift. Ganz tolle Qualität und alle Teile passen perfekt zusammen. Die online-Anleitung (im Paket selbst ist keine dabei) ist klar verständlich mit Bildern (kein zusätzlicher Text). Für die Verklebungen der großflächigen Teile habe ich UHU-Por verwendet. Alles andere mit normalen Sekundenkleber und zusätzlich teilweise Activator. Bei dem Antrieb habe ich auf bewährte Teile von Torcester zurückgegriffen, hatte hier auch gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Alles in Allem nicht günstig aber gute Verarbeitung und macht riesig Spaß :)
Der Service von Voltmaster war top - schnelle Reaktion auf Emails und auch telefonische Hilfe stets sofort und kompetent. Gerne wieder...

Die Edge 540 XL aus EPP ist mit ihrer Spannweite sehr gut zum Draußenfliegen geeignet. Sie kann durch ihre großen Ruder sehr gut zum Kunstflug, Torquen usw. verwendet werden. Das Design finde ich cool und ist gut erkennbar in der Luft.
Der Zusammenbau war recht einfach. Ansonsten ist der Rumpf recht robust.
Der Preis ist gerechtfertigt.
