The YGE Caps capacitor modules are a proven and highly effective upgrade for YGE electronic speed controllers. They are designed to improve electrical stability, partial-load robustness and overall performance under demanding operating conditions.

The modules compensate cable inductance, especially when extended battery leads are used. This helps ensure stable and reliable ESC operation even with critical cable lengths. Installation is carried out as close as possible to the ESC on the battery side. Cutting the cable is not required; removing approximately 5 mm of insulation is sufficient.

Please note that the ESC’s anti-spark function does not apply to the capacitor module. When connecting the battery, a stronger spark may occur. This can be reduced by using anti-spark connectors or by pre-charging with a resistor (4.7 ohm, 2–3 W). The ESC’s internal anti-spark function itself is not affected.

Available variants:

YGE Caps Type 5: Designed for ESCs up to 8s LiPo. Compact module with 5 × 470 µF ultra low ESR capacitors, ideal for small to medium power setups.
YGE Caps Type 7: Designed for ESCs up to 15s LiPo. Equipped with 5 × 330 µF ultra low ESR capacitors, offering a balanced solution for higher-voltage systems.
YGE Caps Type 9: Designed for ESCs up to 15s LiPo. Features 9 × 390 µF ultra low ESR capacitors, providing maximum buffering for high-performance and high-current applications.

Important notice:

Always observe correct polarity during installation
The PCB is clearly marked for polarity
Reverse polarity will destroy the module
