The PowerBu cable is specially designed for PowerBox systems. The PowerBu cable is highly flexible and made of very thin single conductors to get maximum current through the given 1.5mm² cross-section. The sheathing is made of a special material which is also used in man-bearing aviation.

The insulation is virtually indestructible and therefore offers the best protection even in the material thickness of a thin film around the copper. With this insulation, a weight reduction of approx. 30% can be achieved compared to much cheaper PVC. The insulation is flame retardant and much more heat resistant than ordinary PVC.

In order to save additional weight, two strong 1.5mm² cables were used for the power supply, and a thin 0.25mm² cable was used for the signal. This means that a further 27% weight can be saved.
