The Original:
The Piper PA-18 Super Cub is a two-seat, single-engine monoplane developed from the Piper PA-11. Over nearly 40 years of production, more than 9,000 were built. Super Cubs are widely used for bush flying, banner towing, and aerotowing.
The Model:
Like the full-scale aircraft, the FMS PA-18 Super Cub delivers excellent short takeoff and landing (STOL) performance. The model can be airborne in less than 3 meters. Functional flaps and the efficient wing profile allow very slow, scale-like flight. Oversized balloon tires and the sprung metal landing gear enable takeoffs and landings on tall grass and rough terrain. A float set is optionally available.
Ready to Fly in Minutes:
Thanks to the screw-together design, the PA-18 Super Cub is ready for flight in no time. The power system and six 17 g servos come factory-installed, and all linkages are pre-fitted.
Powerful Power System:
The Super Cub runs on a 4S LiPo driving a robust 35-size 750 KV brushless outrunner, managed by a Predator 45A ESC. With the included 2700 mAh LiPo battery, flight times of around 4–5 minutes are achievable.
Integrated Lighting:
The FMS PA-18 Super Cub comes equipped with navigation lights and a landing light. Especially at dusk, the model looks true to the original and becomes a real eye-catcher.
Onto the Water:
Turn the PA-18 Super Cub into a true bush plane with the optional, scale and precisely fitting float set. Rudders on the floats let you steer on the water and line up perfectly for takeoff.
