Airborne in Under 3 m:
The Full-Scale Original:
The Piper PA-18 Super Cub is a two-seat, single-engine monoplane developed from the Piper PA-11. Over nearly 40 years of production, more than 9,000 were built. Super Cubs are widely used for bush flying, banner towing, and glider towing.
The Model:
Like its inspiration, the FMS PA-18 Super Cub delivers outstanding short takeoff and landing (STOL) performance. The model can be airborne in less than 3 meters. Functional flaps and an efficient wing profile let the Super Cub fly very slowly and scale-like. Oversized balloon tires and the sprung metal landing gear make takeoffs and landings possible on tall grass and rough terrain. A float set is optionally available.
Ready to Fly in Minutes:
Thanks to the screw-together design, the PA-18 Super Cub is flight-ready in no time. The power system and six 17 g servos come pre-installed, with all linkages factory-fitted.
Powerful Drive:
The Super Cub runs on 4S LiPo with a robust 35-size 750 KV brushless outrunner, managed by a Predator 45A ESC. With the included 2700 mAh LiPo, typical flight times are about 4–5 minutes.
Integrated Lighting:
The FMS PA-18 Super Cub includes navigation lights and a landing light. At dusk, the model looks remarkably true to the full-scale aircraft and becomes a real eye-catcher.
Ready for Water Operations:
Turn the PA-18 Super Cub into a true bush plane with the optional, scale float set. Rudders on the floats let you maneuver on water and line up perfectly for takeoff.
