The Phoenix Focke Wulf FW-190 brings the distinctive appearance of one of the best-known fighter aircraft of the Second World War to the flying field. With a 1,720 mm wingspan, numerous scale details and electric retractable landing gear, this ARF model provides the foundation for an impressive warbird project. Its lightweight, laser-cut wooden airframe is extensively prefabricated and designed to accommodate either electric or internal combustion power.
Lightweight wooden construction with extensive prefabrication
The FW-190 features a lightweight, high-strength balsa structure made from accurately laser-cut components. With approximately 95% prefabrication, the remaining work mainly involves final assembly and installation of the power system, servos and radio equipment. The airframe is already film-covered and finished in a scale colour scheme.
Your choice of electric or internal combustion power
The model is designed for both power options. For an electric setup, the manufacturer recommends a brushless outrunner rated at 1,500 to 1,800 W. Alternatively, the FW-190 can be equipped with an internal combustion engine in the recommended 20 to 26 cc class. This allows you to choose a power system that suits your preferences and existing equipment.
Electric retractable landing gear included
The included electric retracts complement the characteristic silhouette of the FW-190. The robust, sprung landing gear is also intended for grass runway operation and supports realistic take-offs and landings. It installs at the prepared mounting points in the airframe.
Scale details for an authentic appearance
A detailed cockpit with a painted pilot figure and a fibreglass cowling contribute to the model's distinctive appearance. Combined with the factory-applied finish, these features create a convincing warbird whose familiar outline stands out both on the ground and in flight.
