The Ford F-100 is one of the great classics of American pickup truck history. With the 1:18 scale Ford F-100, FMS recreates the distinctive styling of the sixth-generation model as a highly detailed scale crawler based on the modern FCX18 II chassis. The officially Ford-licensed ABS hard body, numerous scale details and realistic suspension combine the classic appearance of an American pickup with modern RC technology.
The brushed version is powered by a proven 180-size brushed motor combined with a compact 2-in-1 ESC and receiver unit. Together with the mechanical two-speed transmission, the F-100 provides precise low-speed control for crawling as well as sufficient speed for relaxed trail driving.
Authentic 1:18 scale Ford F-100
The durable ABS hard body accurately recreates the distinctive Dentside styling of the sixth-generation Ford F-100. Chrome front and rear bumpers, Ford lettering, exterior mirrors, a roll bar and a fully detailed interior create an authentic scale appearance.
The magnetic quick-release body mounting system provides particularly convenient access. A total of eleven strong magnets secure the body to the chassis while allowing quick access to the battery and electronics. Magnetic contacts also supply power to the body-mounted lighting, eliminating the need to disconnect additional cables when removing the body.
FCX18 II LCG chassis – designed for crawling
The new FCX18 II chassis uses a consistent low-center-of-gravity concept. The motor and transmission are positioned particularly low in the chassis, lowering the center of gravity and improving stability on steep climbs and challenging obstacles.
A metal frame, metal steering links and four-link suspension provide excellent durability. Additional equipment includes oil-filled metal shock absorbers, a metal-geared steering servo and a fully ball-bearing-supported drivetrain with a total of 25 ball bearings. Counter-rotating front and rear driveshafts help reduce torque twist and provide more controlled crawling performance.
Two-speed transmission and 180-size brushed power
The 180-size brushed motor delivers smooth and controllable power for crawling and trail driving. The mechanical two-speed transmission allows the driver to switch between a powerful low gear and a faster second gear. This enables the F-100 to adapt to different terrain and driving situations.
The standard solid axles feature locked differentials for maximum off-road traction. Optional portal axles and manually adjustable differentials are also available.
BFGoodrich KO3 tires and realistic suspension
The officially licensed BFGoodrich KO3 tires feature a pronounced all-terrain tread pattern and provide strong grip on rocks, dirt and demanding trails. The combination of solid axles, four-link suspension and oil-filled metal shock absorbers offers excellent articulation and controlled handling on uneven terrain.
Comprehensive LED lighting system
A separate lighting controller operates the extensive LED system. Headlights, taillights, turn signals, brake lights and additional LED spotlights on the roll bar create a highly realistic appearance. Various lighting functions can be controlled directly from the transmitter.
