The Hangar 9 Carbon Cub 15cc ARF combines the distinctive Carbon Cub appearance with an impressive wingspan of approximately 2.3 metres. Its lightweight and strong balsa and plywood airframe comes largely preassembled and covered in high-quality UltraCote film.
Choose the power system that suits your preferences: the model accommodates a 15cc petrol engine, a comparable glow engine or an equivalent electric power system. With a suitable electric setup, the Carbon Cub can be powered by a 6S LiPo battery. Power system and radio components must be selected and installed separately.
Functional flaps improve slow-flight performance and allow shorter take-offs and landings. Shock-absorbing scale landing gear and factory-installed LED landing lights complement the scale appearance.
Bolt-on, removable tail surfaces simplify assembly. The two-piece wing features struts that fold against the wing panels for convenient transport. The wing tube can be stored inside the fuselage.
A large, magnetically secured windscreen hatch provides easy access to the flight battery or fuel tank and other components. An additional maintenance hatch between the wings is secured with thumb screws.
For operation from water, the Carbon Cub can be equipped with the optional HAN6030 1/5-scale wooden float set, sold separately.

Completion requirements: A suitable power system and compatible radio equipment are required for flight. These components must be selected and installed separately. The Spektrum A6380 digital servos mentioned in the EP PNP version description are not included with this ARF version. The float set is sold separately.
Skill Level 4: This model is intended for experienced RC pilots who can confidently assemble, set up and fly comparable aircraft. The ARF version requires experience in selecting and installing power systems and electronics.
