The Mitsubishi A6M Zero from Phoenix Model brings one of the best-known Japanese warbirds of the Second World War to the flying field as a detailed RC model. This reproduction of the historic carrier-based aircraft features a 1,720 mm wingspan, classic lines and numerous scale details.
The lightweight, strong structure uses laser-cut wooden parts and is supplied largely preassembled, covered and painted. The model is prepared for either electric or combustion power, allowing you to choose your preferred setup.
Electric or combustion power
The A6M Zero accommodates both a suitable brushless power system and an internal combustion engine. The recommended electric setup combines a D-Power AL 50-04 motor with an 85 A URANUS ESC and a 6S 5,000 mAh LiPo battery. Alternatively, a 20 cc two-stroke engine is recommended.
Lightweight wooden construction with extensive prefabrication
Precisely laser-cut balsa parts form the basis of the lightweight, strong structure. With approximately 95% prefabrication, the remaining work mainly involves final assembly and installation of the power system and radio equipment. The scale film covering and painted components provide an attractive finish straight from the box.
Sprung retractable landing gear included
The included retractable landing gear complements the scale appearance and features a robust, sprung design. It supports take-offs and landings on suitable grass runways. Two retract servos are required for operation; alternatively, the separately available D-Power electric retractable landing gear L is recommended.
Authentic scale details
A detailed cockpit, painted pilot figure and fibreglass cowling enhance the Zero's scale appearance. The removable canopy provides convenient access to the interior. In flight, the model displays the characteristic proportions of the historic aircraft.
