CFRP tubes manufactured in the pullwinding process with carbon fiber orientation in longitudinal direction (unidirectional). The pipe is additionally reinforced with torsion layers. An excellent tensile strength, compressive strength and bending strength is achieved.

Properties:
Low weight, high strength, very good corrosion and heat resistance and electrical conductivity. Due to the manufacturing process, the surface of these tubes is not absolutely smooth. The carbon fibres of the outer torsion layers are visible and easy to feel.

tolerances:
deviation in diameter ± 0.2 mm. As a rule, the deviation from straightness is not more than 1 mm/m.

Processing:
The surface of the tubes should not be ground because this damages the upper fibre layers and the tube loses strength. If a tube must nevertheless be ground, e.g. to make glued joints, then one should proceed very carefully in order to damage as few fibres as possible.

Please note:
During pultrusion, internal release agents are used, which precipitate on the surface. Adhesive surfaces must therefore be sanded very carefully.
