The E-flite Pilatus PC-21 1.3m BNF Basic is an exceptionally detailed and powerful scale reproduction of the advanced trainer featuring a high-performance 6S brushless power system, 100+ mph top speed, electric retracts, functional flaps and LED lighting.
The Pilatus PC-21 is used by air forces around the world as an advanced training aircraft. E-flite has recreated its distinctive appearance as a versatile scale model combining impressive detail, outstanding performance and convenient handling.
Its wide flight envelope ranges from surprisingly stable slow flight to fast passes and precise aerobatics. The factory-installed brushless power system is compatible with popular 6S LiPo batteries from 4000 to 7000mAh. With the included five-blade propeller and scale spinner, the PC-21 is capable of level-flight speeds exceeding 100 mph and virtually unlimited vertical performance.
The factory-installed Spektrum AR637TA+ receiver features exclusive AS3X+ and SAFE Select technologies. These provide the BNF Basic version with additional flight stability and allow the model to be made flight-ready quickly after binding it to a compatible Spektrum DSMX transmitter.

Bind-N-Fly Basic Completion Level:
This BNF Basic version includes a factory-installed brushless motor, Smart ESC, servos, retractable landing gear, lighting system and Spektrum AR637TA+ receiver. The receiver is already equipped with specially tuned AS3X+ and SAFE Select technologies.
All that is required to complete the model is a compatible Spektrum DSMX transmitter with 6–8 or more channels, a suitable 6S LiPo battery and a compatible LiPo charger. After binding the transmitter and completing the final assembly steps, the PC-21 is ready to fly.
AS3X+ Technology:
The advanced AS3X+ technology automatically compensates for the effects of wind and turbulence. This allows the model to fly more smoothly and precisely without limiting its natural control response or manoeuvrability.
AS3X+ operates discreetly in the background and provides the feeling of flying a much larger and carefully tuned model. The settings are factory-programmed specifically for the Pilatus PC-21.
SAFE Select Technology:
Optional-use SAFE Select technology provides pitch and bank-angle limits together with automatic self-levelling. When the control sticks are released, SAFE Select automatically returns the model to a stable flight attitude.
SAFE Select can be enabled or disabled during the binding process. When using a suitably configured transmitter, the function can be assigned to a switch and turned on or off during flight as required.
Spektrum Smart Technology:
The factory-installed Spektrum Avian 100A Smart ESC can transmit real-time power-system data through the AR637TA+ receiver to a compatible Spektrum transmitter. Available information includes battery voltage, temperature, motor rpm and more.
Telemetry can be used with both Smart and conventional LiPo batteries. With a suitably equipped transmitter, optional motor and thrust reversing can also be enabled. This can shorten the rollout after landing and provide additional ground-handling capabilities.
Choose Your Performance:
The powerful brushless system is compatible with popular 6S LiPo batteries from 4000 to 7000mAh. This allows pilots to choose their preferred balance of performance and flight time.
The included five-blade propeller and scale spinner combine an authentic appearance with reduced noise and level-flight speeds exceeding 100 mph. This power-system configuration also provides virtually unlimited vertical performance.
Alternatively, the included two-blade spinner can be used with an optional APC 12x12E propeller. This combination provides even more speed, reduced current consumption and longer flight times.
Strength and Precision:
The aerodynamically optimised airframe is moulded from high-density EPO material. Composite reinforcements and multiple carbon-fibre spars in the wings, fuselage and tail surfaces provide excellent strength and rigidity.
Seven factory-installed Spektrum metal-geared servos with precise ball-link connections deliver accurate, direct and reliable control, even during high-speed flight.
Functional Features:
The functional flaps feature scale hinges and concealed linkages. They improve low-speed handling and allow shorter take-offs and landings at reduced speeds.
Plastic-reinforced flap edges and openings provide additional durability and help protect the painted surface from damage and chipping.
The electric retractable landing gear is equipped with durable, shock-absorbing trailing-link struts. This allows the model to operate from various surfaces including pavement, packed dirt and short grass. Functional nose gear doors further enhance its realistic scale appearance.
Easy Assembly:
No glue is required for assembly. The vertical stabiliser and two-piece wing are secured using a total of eight hex screws and can easily be removed for transport or compact storage.
The horizontal stabilisers click into position without tools or additional fasteners. A convenient top hatch provides easy access to the battery compartment and radio components.
Scale Details:
Landing gear doors, LED landing, navigation and anti-collision lights, exhaust outlets, antenna details, a detailed cockpit and two pilot figures provide an exceptionally authentic appearance.
The model is supplied with a premium fully painted finish and factory-applied decals. Its many functional details provide an authentic scale experience both on the ground and in the air.
Skill Level 3 – Experienced Pilots:
Skill Level 3 aircraft are suitable for experienced RC pilots who can already take off, fly and land models with similar performance. The factory-installed and specially tuned AS3X+ and SAFE Select technologies simplify setup and provide assistance during flight.
Experience with faster sport aircraft, warbirds, larger EDF jets or comparable models is recommended. The PC-21 is not suitable as a beginner aircraft or first low-wing model.
