The OMP Hobby M2 V3 Pro is a powerful 3D mini helicopter featuring a 434 mm main rotor, direct-drive system, OFS3 flybarless controller, Bluetooth® programming and extensive receiver compatibility.
The latest version of the popular M2 has been extensively redesigned. A significantly lighter airframe, a new rotor head, improved damping inserts and new APEX rotor blades allow increased cyclic and collective pitch ranges. The result is an exceptionally direct, precise and powerful flying experience suitable for both demanding sport flying and aggressive 3D aerobatics.
The fully adjustable OFS3 flybarless system handles the electronic 120° CCPM mixing and provides selectable stabilised and 3D flight modes. Extensive setup options are available through the included Bluetooth® module and the OMPHOBBY mobile app for iOS and Android. The control unit is supplied preconfigured and can also be adjusted using its programming button and indicator LEDs.
The powerful Sunnysky® R40X-3 brushless outrunner motor drives the main rotor directly without a conventional gearbox. The optimised APEX 45 tail rotor is powered directly by a separate lightweight Sunnysky® R13X-3 brushless motor. This robust and efficient design eliminates conventional gears, belts and other wear-prone transmission components.
The airframe is built around a precision-machined aluminium motor mount and main shaft housing. Carbon-fibre side frames and formers, a ball-bearing-supported 4 mm main shaft and aluminium swashplate and rotor head components provide excellent strength at a low overall weight. The new APEX 190 main rotor blades offer increased efficiency, reduced noise and sufficient rigidity for large control deflections.
Three fast digital DS2710MG metal-geared servos operate the 120° CCPM swashplate. The intelligent OFS3 control unit integrates the main motor speed controller with governor function as well as the controller for the tail motor.
The M2 V3 Pro supports miniature receivers using S.BUS, DSM2, DSMX and bidirectional CRSF with telemetry. This includes compatibility with systems such as TBS Crossfire, Tracer and ExpressLRS. Since all required CCPM mixing is handled by the control unit, a radio system with at least six channels is sufficient for basic operation. A programmable transmitter with multiple flight modes and adjustable pitch curves is recommended for aerobatic and 3D flying.
The included 3S 750 mAh 60C LiPo battery connects via an XT30 plug. Depending on the flying style, it provides flight times of up to approximately ten minutes during gentle flying or around four minutes during aggressive 3D aerobatics.
The helicopter is supplied fully assembled with a preconfigured control unit. Simply install a compatible receiver, charge the flight battery, configure the transmitter according to the detailed instructions and perform the required pre-flight checks.
Please note: The M2 V3 Pro is a fully capable collective-pitch 3D helicopter intended primarily for intermediate and experienced pilots. It is not comparable to a self-stabilising camera drone. Beginners should practise thoroughly using an RC flight simulator and seek assistance from an experienced helicopter pilot before flying the model.
