The Ares XL is the next evolution of the successful Ares indoor platform and was specifically developed for demanding outdoor flying. Based on the original collaboration with Krill Aircraft and Jack Jehle, the XL version delivers a larger and more capable aircraft with an exceptionally realistic flight experience.
Unlike the indoor version, the Ares XL features a fully airfoiled wing designed specifically for outdoor use. This results in significantly improved stability, precision and overall flight performance, even in challenging weather conditions and stronger winds.
The optimized airfoil provides excellent energy retention during high-speed passes, outstanding cornering stability and an impressively realistic flight appearance. In the air, the Ares XL feels much more like a larger composite-built fighter jet than a traditional EPP foam model.
One of the most impressive characteristics is its outstanding wind resistance. While many conventional EPP models begin to lose precision in windy conditions, the Ares XL remains smooth, stable and highly controllable. This makes it an ideal aircraft for ambitious pilots who want reliable and precise handling in a wide range of conditions.
The construction combines lightweight design with excellent strength and durability. The EPP material offers superb crash resistance and can easily be repaired after harder landings or minor impacts. At the same time, the model remains agile, dynamic and extremely responsive in the air.
The Ares XL was developed with one clear goal: to create a durable, precise and exceptionally capable EPP aircraft that delivers the feeling of flying a large-scale fighter jet in a compact and practical format.
