The Phoenix Model Focke-Wulf Fw 190A is a highly detailed giant-scale warbird with an impressive wingspan of 2.15 m. Its lightweight yet strong balsa and plywood construction is designed for either a powerful electric power system or a two-stroke glow/gas engine.
Highly detailed giant-scale warbird
Numerous carefully reproduced details give the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A an exceptionally realistic appearance on the ground. In the air, the model delivers an impressive and scale-like flight profile. The detailed cockpit includes a pilot figure and realistically reproduced instruments.
Lightweight wooden construction with a high level of prefabrication
The laser-cut balsa and plywood construction combines low weight with excellent strength. Carbon-reinforced wooden components provide additional rigidity. Thanks to the high level of prefabrication, assembly is mainly limited to installing the power system, servos and radio equipment.
The model is supplied fully covered with printed film and painted. The large removable canopy provides generous access and plenty of space for the installation of batteries and electronic components.
Electric metal retracts included
An electrically operated main retract system with robust CNC-machined metal landing-gear legs is included. Together with the tailwheel, it provides an especially realistic appearance during take-off, landing and taxiing.
Prepared for electric or engine power
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190A can be equipped with either a powerful brushless electric system or a 50–60 cc two-stroke engine. This gives you the choice between clean and efficient electric flight or the powerful sound of an internal-combustion engine.
