100" Bighorn ARF – Yellow (2.54 m): A powerful large-scale aerobatic high-wing aircraft designed for pilots who demand maximum performance, precise handling, and a lightweight yet extremely strong structure. With a wingspan of 2,540 mm, oversized control surfaces, and a reinforced all-balsa/plywood construction with Kevlar® and carbon elements, the Bighorn delivers true 3D capability. It supports both 50–70 cc gasoline engines and 5–6 kW brushless electric power systems on 12S LiPo.
This ARF model offers exceptional build quality, impressive rigidity, and excellent accessibility to all components. A perfect choice for pilots looking for a high-quality, large-format high-wing aerobatic aircraft that stands out in the air and performs every maneuver with confidence.
Features:
- Premium ARF kit with a 100" (2.54 m) wingspan
- Compatible with 50–70 cc gasoline engines or 5–6 kW brushless electric motors (12S LiPo)
- Ultra-light, high-strength design with Kevlar® and carbon reinforcements
- Two-piece wing with semi-symmetrical airfoil and carbon tube joiner
- Large ailerons and flaps driven by dual-servo systems
- Two-piece horizontal stabilizer with carbon reinforcement
- Rudder actuated via pull-pull system for maximum precision
- Carbon main landing gear, Dural tailwheel, and balloon wheels
- Covered with high-quality ULTRACOTE® (Oracover®)
- Removable cowl and upper fuselage hatch for excellent internal access
Fuselage:
Traditional balsa/plywood structure laser-cut and reinforced with Kevlar® and carbon. The removable composite cowl and top fuselage section provide ideal access to the power system and RC electronics. The engine mounts to a strong rear-mounted plywood engine box.
Wing:
Two-piece wing with semi-symmetrical airfoil, fully sheeted balsa finish, and a strong carbon joiner tube. Ailerons and flaps are each driven by dual high-torque servos for maximum control authority.
Tail Unit:
Lightweight all-balsa construction. The horizontal stabilizer is two-piece, mounted on a carbon tube. Elevator halves are driven by individually mounted servos with short, stiff linkages. Rudder is controlled via pull-pull cables.
Landing Gear:
Carbon main gear, durable Dural tailwheel assembly, and large balloon wheels ensure stable ground handling and rough-field capability.
Recommended RC Equipment:
- 7–9 channel computer radio system
- 7–8 high-torque standard-size servos (20–40 kg/cm)
- Fast servos strongly recommended for aggressive 3D flight
- Independent mixing for ailerons, flaps, and elevator halves
