The Nordic Folkboat is a popular and seaworthy sailing boat not only in Germany but also designed specifically for the Baltic Sea. It can accommodate a crew of two to four people and is suitable for both cruising and competitive racing. The Folkboat features a long keel and a Bermuda rig. It has the typical S-frame shape and a transom stern with an attached rudder, which are characteristic of wooden yachts.

The classic Folkboat hull is constructed from wood and clinker-built. This construction method was chosen for the model to preserve the charm of this beautiful Nordic wooden design. Accordingly, the frames and the entire clinker planking are accurately laser-cut. The high-quality plywood can be stained in the desired wood color and then clear-coated. Folkboats were traditionally made from various local wood species. The kit for the static model is very detailed for its size. Like the larger RC model, the cabin roof can be removed, providing a view of the beautiful hull construction. Theoretically, this model can also be made floatable by experienced model builders. However, the keel is only a resin representation. The sails are also cut into individual pieces. All visual hardware components are included in the kit.
