Big-model flying feel in a compact format: the Extra NG 49″ PP is Pilot-RC’s second foam aircraft. Developed by Ryu Sintuphrom, it is designed for dynamic 3D flying as well as smooth, precise aerobatic manoeuvres.
Each model is handcrafted from PP foam. Carbon-fibre reinforcement and a durable laminated surface give it a lightweight, rigid structure. A quick-release system makes the wings easy to remove for transport and quick assembly at the flying field.
The Extra has a 1,240 mm wingspan, a length of approximately 1,266 mm and a flying weight of around 1,200 g without the flight battery. The kit includes landing gear, wheel pants, pre-assembled ball-link control linkages, servo extension leads, a plastic spinner and removable side force generators.
To complete the model, you will need a suitable electric motor, ESC, propeller, a 6S LiPo battery of around 1,800 mAh and at least four suitable micro servos.
