With a wingspan of 2,540 mm, this large aerobatic high-wing aircraft combines an exceptionally lightweight design with excellent rigidity and impressive 3D capabilities. Its balsa and plywood airframe is reinforced with Kevlar® and carbon fibre, while the generously sized ailerons and flaps provide precise control, excellent manoeuvrability and a wide speed range.
The Bighorn can be powered by a 50–70 cc petrol engine or a powerful 5–6 kW brushless electric setup using a 12S LiPo battery. Two-piece wings and stabilisers with carbon joiners make transport and assembly easier. The robust carbon main landing gear and balloon wheels are also ideal for grass airfields.
