The KST CM12, a particularly compact and versatile digital servo, is now available from Voltmaster. With a width of only 12.1 mm, it is suitable for a wide range of applications, including 1:12 and 1:10 RC pan cars, RC aircraft, boats and functional models.
Despite its compact dimensions, the KST CM12 delivers up to 7.5 kgf·cm of torque at an operating voltage of 8.4 volts and reaches an operating speed of just 0.08 seconds per 60 degrees. Its wide voltage range from 3.7 to 8.4 volts provides excellent flexibility for different models and power supplies.
The hybrid housing combines aluminium and polycarbonate to provide low weight and excellent stability. The entire upper housing section is made from aluminium to support precise positioning of the output shaft. Depending on the installation requirements, the servo can be mounted in an upright or horizontal position. Unused side mounting tabs can simply be removed if necessary.
Its high-quality features include a coreless motor, a robust steel gearbox, two ball bearings and a large output shaft with a 25T-6 spline. This provides compatibility with many standard servo horns while ensuring reliable power transmission even under high loads.
The KST CM12 is programmable and supports an adjustable soft-start function. Programming is possible using the separately available KST Tool #3 or KST Tool #5.
