An impressive wingspan, traditional wood construction and modern electric power: the new Hangar 9 Carbon Cub 15cc EP PNP (HAN-3448) brings approximately 2.3 metres of flying enjoyment. Release is scheduled for December 2026.
Beneath the UltraCote film covering is a lightweight, robust balsa and plywood airframe. Factory-installed equipment includes a Spektrum Avian 5065-450Kv brushless motor, a 100A Avian Smart ESC and six Spektrum A6380 metal-geared digital servos. The power system is designed for 6S 4000–7000mAh LiPo batteries.
Functional flaps support shorter take-offs and landings and improved slow-flight performance. Shock-absorbing scale landing gear and LED landing lights complete the package. With compatible receiver and transmitter equipment, pilots can also access power system telemetry such as battery voltage, current draw and motor RPM.
Bolt-together assembly requires no glue. Two-piece wings, folding wing struts and generous access hatches simplify transport and handling. The optional HAN6030 float set is available separately for flying from water.
The Carbon Cub is intended for intermediate pilots. A transmitter, receiver, flight battery and charger are required separately.
