The Samsara by TopModel not only looks very good but also has excellent flight characteristics. The perfect combination of low weight and good robustness has been chosen for this model. The quality of the built and maintained model is, as usual, perfect.

The Samsara is built from a combination of light balsa wood and ultra strong and light fibreglass. The carrying surface is three-part and removable. The tail unit is designed as a pendulum tail unit.

The scope of supply includes the finished covered model and the required small parts. The delivery does not include the electronic components such as servos, motor, controller, propeller, battery, ... .

gewohnte Topmodel-Qualität mit kleinen Mängeln

Die Bauausführung ist wie immer fast perfekt. Der Rumpf makelloses GFK mit sinnvollen CFK-Verstärkungen.
Leider ist der Motorspant noch nicht verbaut. (Bzw. auch nicht. So hat man die Möglichkeit den Spant dem jeweiligen Antrieb anzupassen). Die Glasfasermatte hat direkt innen an der Rumpfspitze ein Falte geworfen, sa dass ein Spant-Einbau nicht ohne Vorarbeit gelingt. Auch ist dieser im Durchmesser sehr großzügig gewählt. So fällt auch hier etwas Arbeit an.
Die beigepackten Kleinteile sind alle von passender Qualität. Auch liegen zahlreiche Schnipsel der Bespannfolie für Reparaturen bei.
Was mich aber am meisten stört, ist die zu kurze Rumpfnase. Heute aktuelle Antriebe sind deutlich zu leicht um ohne ordentlich Blei den Schwerpunkt zu erreichen. Der geplante Scorpion 2822 mit Micro-Gear verlangt nach ca. 100g Blei.
Schade. Man kommt zwar auch so knapp unter 2kg Gewicht. Aber in einem solchen Leichtbau-Thermik-Gerät würde ich doch liebe auf Blei-Fracht verzichten können.
