Reliable epoxy resins can always be found at R&G, because their quality is excellent. This resin has a working time of 90 minutes, while the curing time is first 24 hours at room temperature and then approx. 10 hours at 60°C. The epoxy resin can be used for a wide range of applications. Maximum heat deflection temperature is reached after 120°C.
This very often sold epoxy resin is thin liquid and free of solvents and fillers. In addition to impregnating aramid, glass and carbon fibres, bonding is of course no problem. Ideal materials are wood, metal, polystyrene and others. Only because of the low surface tension, the good adhesion and the low loss of hardness can the properties which make up the product be achieved. You also have freedom when it comes to processing, because all common processes such as hand lamination, pressure and vacuum impregnation, pressing and winding are possible.
With the hardeners S (15 minutes), L (40 minutes), EPH 500 (60 minutes), EPH 161 (90 minutes) and W 300 (300 minutes), it exhibits strengths similar to those of the laminating systems commonly used in aviation. The heat distortion temperature ranges from 60°C (S, L, EPH 500) to approx. 120°C (EPH 161, after hot curing).
Epoxy resin L + hardener EPH 161
- Processing time 90 minutes
- Mixing ratio:
- 100 : 25 parts by weight resin : hardener
General description of the system Epoxy resin L with hardeners S, L, EPH 500, EPH 161 and W 300:
- Low-viscosity, solvent- and filler-free
- Fast impregnation of glass, aramid and carbon fibres
- High static and dynamic strength
- The epoxy resin L with the corresponding hardeners S, L, EPH 500 and EPH 161 is the most widely used laminating and adhesive resin from the R&G product range.
